HOPE HARRIS “COUSINS JAMBOREE”

There’s a little bit of Nashville in the title track of Hope Harris’ first non-lullaby family album.  The song, an energetic celebration of spending time with all the special people in your life, showcases Harris’ joyful, Grand Ole Opry-quality voice which soars to the rafters while the music gets your kids dancing on the floor and shaking their homemade maracas.

The Bear and Mouse have a special affinity for their cousins – cherishing the time they get to spend with their relations nicknamed “The Monkeys” by Pop-pop.  And its this brand of down-home, familiar love song that best describes that affection, the kind only possible when sibling parents stay close – geographically but more importantly emotionally – and make it a point to be together as much as they can despite each other’s differences and busy schedules.

Enjoy “Cousins Jamboree” by Hope Harris, then call your sister and/or brother and ask ‘em how they’re doing and if they’d like to spend some time together as families:

Virginia residents, be sure to catch Hope Harris at the 1st annual Diggity Fest with Dan Zanes and The Diggity Dudes on September 18th 2011.  More info on this benefit event here.
